Music Making Money - Fri 16th October in Paris, Bundoran
Live Music Extravaganza at Paris Niteclub, Bundoran - Friday October 16th
The Bluestack Jam Club in conjunction with the Bundoran-based Atlantic Collective are putting on a concert showcasing some of the finest musical talent in south-west Donegal in aid of local charity, Ozanam House, Bundoran. This nursing home for the elderly provides community and residential support and relies on the voluntary help and goodwill of the local community. The local artistic community, through their grassroots networks, have come together to use their talents to help those most in need and provide a brilliant night’s entertainment at the same time. Win, win!
South Donegal has been punching above its weight in musical terms for many years. Just in terms of the popular music genre alone, the international success of Johnny Gallagher and BoxT, the Screaming Orphans, Aine O Doherty and Georgia serves to highlight the proliferation of talent in the area.
Some of the acts include the sublime acoustic set of Organic Jam along with the grungy overtones of The Reprobates. The talented singer-songwriter James Carbon will also be appearing as will the Rare Groove Funk Orchestra, whose members have played support to the likes of Chuck Berry, Kila and Asian Dub Foundation.
Doors open at 11.30 pm and admission is a very reasonable € 5. All fellow musicians are welcome to join in and contribute to what promises to be a great night’s entertainment for a worthy cause.
